Ishmael Arthur, first runner up of 2018 Kwahu Easter Mountain Marathon (KEMM), has urged participants in the 2019 edition of the competition, to exhibit good sportsmanship by not cheating.
According to Arthur, he was delighted with the increase in the prize package for this year's marathon and hope athletes would avoid cheating and be fair.
''I would urge my fellow athletes to exhibit fairness by not cheating. The organizers should put in place the necessary mechanisms to prevent cheating.
Speaking about his preparation for the marathon, Arthur said he was ready for the competition as he has been training vigorously in the past months for the ultimate prize.
''I started training around January and things are going well with no injury concerns. I know the Kenyans would partake in this year's marathon, but am not scared at all and I'm ready for the task ahead,'' Arthur said.
This year's KEMM is expected to attract at least 1000 participant across the World with a cash prize of Ghc20,000.00 at stake for winners.
Sponsors of this year's KEMM include Goil, StarTimes, Mibosoko, Asempa FM and Bel Beverages.
