Football in Ghana is set for a significant infrastructure boost with the completion of the TnA Sports Stadium in Tarkwa, a facility that boasts a seating capacity of 10,400.
Funded by the Goldfields Foundation at a cost of US$13 million, the stadium is poised to become the new home for Ghana Premier League side, Medeama Sporting Club.
Social media has been buzzing with pictures of the yet-to-be-commissioned stadium, which has received widespread praise for its aesthetic quality.
The stadium features roofing over all sections, including VIP seating, ample spectator seating, dressing rooms for teams and match officials, a media stand, ticket booths, an emergency medical room, and an electronic advertising board.
Additionally, the pitch is surrounded by a perimeter wall and an inner perimeter fence, it is equipped with floodlights for evening matches and is supported by a standby generator, among other essential facilities.
